The UNIX version of GNU make does not do any parsing of PATH to find the shell: the path the shell is included fully qualified in the SHELL variable (default value is /bin/sh). If you have a request for the Windows port you should ask on [EMAIL PROTECTED] I'm still not very clear on why you want the path to make.
