Thanks.  Can you check whether GNU libsigsegv builds correctly on this
platform?  Most likely it is a bug in either kernel, libc, and/or
libsigsegv not interacting correctly, which results in m4's use of
libsigsegv no longer being able to detect stack overflow.  If we can get
libsigsegv patched to work around the problem, then the failure would
disappear from m4.
