Following the discussion starting at http://lilypond.1069038.n5.nabble.com/Two-suggestions-for-documentation-td209937.html can I suggest that the PDF version of the documentation includes alphabetic bookmarks for the indexes as suggested by David Wright. I'd do it myself, but don't know texinfo at all, will generate more problems than I solve.
