It is related to the use of spacer rests. Replace these with notes and the timing of the hairpins is correct: { % \override Hairpin #'minimum-length = #5 \time 3/4 \clef F << e2. { \voiceTwo g4\< g4\> g4\!_"poco cresc." } >> | d2. | } This looks like a bug to me, especially as spacer rests are commonly used for this purpose.
