I was the main texi2html developer and I am also the main developer of the new implementation in texinfo. I would like to port the current lilypond init file to the new API for 2 reasons, one is allow lilypond to use the new implementation as soon as possible, the other being using lilypond as a real life case of customization to see what has to be available through the API.
