What i find most fascinating is the fact that there is also a correction for stem-barline spacing at the beginning of the measure, but it's a bit smaller than the correction at the end of the measure. See attached. It's also interesting that the correction doesn't depend on the distance between last note and the barline. I think the correction could be smaller when the distance is bigger.
