ok, for clarity, here's my wishlist for the next version.
1. new name of your chosing.
2. git-gui installed. (standard ubuntu package)
3. git-cl downloaded (the git repo), and a symlink from git-cl in the repo
(maybe put the repo in ~/git-cl-git ? or hide it in ~/src/git-cl-git/ ?)
to ~/bin/git-cl.
download instructions here:
http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.13/Documentation/contributor/commits-and-patches#uploading-a-patch-for-review
4. lily-git.tcl in ~/bin/ instead of the desktop.
Having lily-git.tcl on the desktop is a nice idea, but IMO it makes things
a bit "too easy". By that, I mean that users need to be able to copy&paste
into the terminal in order to compile stuff. With that in mind, I *don't*
want them to know that they can just double-click on lily-git.tcl. I'd
rather have that file in ~/bin/ and then tell them to type
lily-git.tcl
to run it.
(that said, I'm willing to negotiate on this point)
5. the shell script to the contributor guide doesn't work for me, but I
think you've already found out how to create a launcher instead, so that's
fine.
Thanks for adding the Terminal to the desktop! (ok, this point isn't a
checklist item :) I'll go change the docs to use that Terminal icon
instead of going through Applications->accessories.
