Thanks for the report, but the point of a tiny example isn't (only) to be eloquent -- it's to make it easy for programmers to see what the problem is.
I spent 15 seconds looking at the music, but I couldn't see the problem. You might say that this is your point (I couldn't see a tie), but it really just means that I'm going to ignore this issue and look at other things where the problem *is* easy to see.
