Do you have Cygwin version of LilyPond installed? Double click to generate is not yet used by the native version of lilypond, but the Cygwin installation has that configuration. > and continues processing for a while but creates > nothing new. There is no PDF file. Anyone know why? Hard to say. There may be a cygwin/native conflict, you may not be running the native lilypond at all, or ghostscript fails. Try running lilypond with the --verbose switch and send the log output. Just add --verbose to the command line of the LilyPond shortcut on the desktop and use drag and drop to generate the ps/pdf.
