Shortly say, just reuse the porting on GNU/Linux and the part of GDB side porting on GNU/Hurd. As I am a Chinese, my full name is Yue Lu(陆岳), Lu is my family name, and Yue is my first name. There is a litter difference with you of name's order in our culture.
