Maybe you can clarify something for me...

I checked version 0.3.22. Here is part of the debian/changelog

auto-apt (0.3.22) unstable; urgency=low
  [...]
  * debian/patches
    - (Number 10): Fix FTBFS(hurd-i386): PATH_MAX undeclared
      (Closes: #257087).
  [...]

As I understand it, the patch was applied and no new upstream was released
in the meantime. This patch fixed part of the PATH_MAX problem (in some
files) but left one buggy file and package still FTBFS.
Have I misunderstood something?!
