Typically when I open a bug report on behalf of someone else, I do it
(quasi)anonymously so that savannah doesn't report me as an interested party.
I see I failed to do that here, possibly because I offered my own opinion in
the original submission rather than merely reporting Doug's problem.  But I'm
not an -ms user and have no opinion on proposed fixes to it.
