Follow-up Comment #7, bug #65800 (group groff): The originally reported bootstrap problem did not happen again in a freshly cloned groff tree, so resynching the "bootstrap" script with upstream ([http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/groff.git/commit/?id=c415e26da commit c415e26da]) seems to have resolved it. I have not retested the condition that caused the additional problem reported
in comment #4. So I'm keeping this open for now, though if that problem
requires a separate fix it should get its own bug report.
Also, Collin said in comment #6 that he wanted to do a little more digging
into the significance of "/build-aux" vs "/build-aux/". His suggested change
to groff's .gitignore has not been made (and may not need to be, depending on
what he finds).
