Good catch on mkostemp, and the many new tests are always welcome. As far as I can see (I didn't study the W32-specific bits), this all looks fine. I confirmed that it builds and all tests pass when used with coreutils on Fedora 12. If you can push those soon, I'll include them in a coreutils snapshot tomorrow, leading up to a release on Tuesday or Wed.
