You are confusing --version output (which also could be standardized in 
maintainer.texi) with my request for the copyright comment that should be 
placed at the top of each source file.

The physical address of the FSF should remain in the source code comments; 
Gary's patch only added a web address in addition to the physical address.  But 
I agree that the physical address need not appear in the --version output.
