Hello everyone, I've got a client who generates raw postscript files so they can be printed on a large-scale printing press to generate camera ready art, etc. Not really my strength, but due to a very very old machine needing to be replaced, we also wound up upgrading the OS, which brought a whole new ghostscript, groff, etc, with it. Now he tries to generate ps files and they seem fine, but trying to get ghostscript to do anything with them is a nightmare. For instance, if we try to do a pstopdf on a file that displays just fine in gv (albeit with errors), we get the following.
Error: /undefined in Cg Operand stack: 0 Execution stack: %interp_exit .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- false 1 %stopped_push 1878 1 3 %oparray_pop 1877 1 3 %oparray_pop 1861 1 3 %oparray_pop 1755 1 3 %oparray_pop --nostringval-- %errorexec_pop .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- Dictionary stack: --dict:1157/1684(ro)(G)-- --dict:0/20(G)-- --dict:71/200(L)-- --dict:58/120(L)-- Current allocation mode is local Last OS error: 2 Current file position is 97586 GPL Ghostscript 8.71: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1 I'm at a loss to know where to look, so I need some help. If you are a ghostscript, font, groff, etc, guru, this is your time to shine. My customer will even pay for your time!
