I have observed that some older versions of ghostscript will automatically orient all pages in "portrait" orientation when using the tiffg3 output driver. In more recent versions this behavior has changed, which in particular makes Hylafax unhappy, so I'm trying to revert it. I've particularly been working with the ghostscript packages included in CentOS 5.x, which are based around ghostscript 8.15.2. I've isolated the difference in behavior to this patch:
http://pastebin.com/f148a6963 <http://pastebin.com/f148a6963>I'm not qualified to categorize this change as either a regression bug or just a "change"; all I know is that it's breaking my hylafax configuration. =) I note that the new behavior of the code is still present in much more recent versions of ghostscript. I suppose I'm looking for some clarity on what exactly is going on in this change, and whether there's a way I can change my ghostscript command line to switch back on the automatic orientation fixing to make Hylafax happy? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide, even if it's just to punt me to a different list. =) -- Josh Litherland (j...@temp123.org)
