The Translation Project isn't really set up for English translations. I vaguely recall trying to interest them in that several years ago, for British English spellings, but it didn't take. Perhaps you can try again. In the meantime the current behavior is OK, just as American spellings are OK even in Britain. Ironic, isn't it, that English-speakers are sometimes 2nd-class citizens, even for software developed by English-speakers? But if it's any consolation, the translations of these strings are often botched.
