However, SUSE SLES 12 SP2 currently uses a “GNU ld (GNU Binutils; SUSE Linux Enterprise 12) 2.26.1”, so I’d say it’s up to them whether they merge your fix into their binutils version, or maybe ask you to do that upstream in binutils-2_26-branch. I’ll try to inform SUSE and Oracle. PS: H.J., could you please add bug 20244 to the “Depends on” field to document how and when this bug was introduced?
