However ld still core :( I noted trying to debug for symoffset in bfd_elf_string_from_elf_section is passed in a strange way... having ct.o and ctutil.o as input ld parse first file with 2 and 4 as symoffset and parse second file with symoffset == 8 (this cause the problem!) however if I remove ct.o from command line symoffset is 0... some corruption during first parse?? I compiled binutils with '-g -O0 -pipe -fstack-protector-all --param=ssp-buffer-size=2' options and execute with valgrind without errors.
