Thank you for your thoughts. While I appreciate your perspective on DKIM
and spam filtering, I expect the list maintainers to handle these issues
properly. I've been running mail servers since the 1990s, so I
understand the complexities involved. Even if many messages on the list
aren’t signed or DKIM isn’t widely used, it’s still the responsibility
of the list maintainer to ensure that legitimate posts aren’t
misclassified as spam.
I understand that some believe filtering based on DKIM is misguided, but
if the From header is being altered by the list to work around other
spam protection measures, then it's incumbent upon the list
administrators to resolve the resulting DKIM validation failures. I
expect that those with the appropriate authority will review and address
this matter to prevent further disruptions to our technical discussions.
