However, Autoconf doesn't document it, because autoconf doesn't implement it. aclocal (and thus ACLOCAL_PATH) belongs to automake: https://www.gnu.org/software/automake/manual/automake.html#Macro-Search-Path and scroll down a bit > > Moreover, --print-ac-dir doesn't seem to respect it.
