Hi Peter, great! My conclusion is that one or more of the linker options -module, -shared, and -export-dynamic has caused the problem. I have removed these options for all libraries now, hoping that they are not needed by other people. I left -avoid-version in, because I see no need for versioning of GNU APL related libraries (and introducing it now could break existing programs due to the changed library names).
