Dave: >Do you know why some models are called BrailleConnect while others are called >VarioConnect?
No, I sure don't. I've never heard of/seen a VarioConnect. Regarding chords versus commands... Yes, the Braille Connect has six keys which are mapped to BRLTTY commands. We are trying to determine, however, if we could receive chorded keystrokes as chords, rather than as commands. I realize this is a complex issue, since apparently BRLTTY uses chords on some devices as commands. Nevertheless, it seems like there are situations when getting keystrokes as chords would prove useful. What are your thoughts on this? The bindings are currently done within the driver itself. We haven't bound any chorded key combinations yet since the functions are already bound to combinations of the six original Vario keys. Do the BrailleConnect models have those keys? -- Dave Mielke | 2213 Fox Crescent | I believe that the Bible is the Phone: 1-613-726-0014 | Ottawa, Ontario | Word of God.
