Okay, we'll all be keeping clear of you... ;-) I had a friend whose apartment was pretty well trashed by the '89 quake. He had lots of books that got dumped on the floor. He stacked them back up in various places, including his stove. When the electricity came back on... well, it was a bad idea to stack them on the stove. He'd been making dinner, so at least one of the surface elements was turned on... and he didn't think to turn everything off. He lost just about everything in the fire.
