I get all my Brittany Spears news from the front pages of the tabloids
they annoyingly stock at the check-out at the grocery store (I am a
compulsive reader, put text in front of me and I read it, I can't stop
myself), and I get my *real* news from my newspaper and various people
who blog. I'm sure I have a skewed view. :)
Maybe we should protest the media dominance forces the placement such
tabloids in the grocery checkout line instead of the more worthwhile
periodicals, like Phys Rev. Letters or Policy review. I'm sure people would
be happy to read those if only they were placed properly. :-)

Heck, I'd be FINE with it if they'd put Scientific American in every
3rd checkout instead of making anyone wanting to buy it go over to
the magazine section and search for it there. :)

My standards have gotten low enough that I'm just glad to find it
there rather than having to make another stop by the bookstore.
