The latest (2003) statistics I found at the CDC for 19 and younger

Total Population: ~81 million
Accidental Firearm Deaths: 191
Homicide by Firearm: 1822
Legal Intervention/Firearms 22
Suicide by Firearms: 810
Unknown Intent by Firearms 44

Total by firearms 2849

For 15-19, I get

Total Population: ~20.5 million
Accidental Firearm Deaths: 95
Homicide by Firearm: 1587
Legal Intervention/Firearms 20
Suicide by Firearms: 736
Unknown Intent by Firearms 31

Total by firearms 2469

The numbers indicate that the vast majority of firearm deaths under 19 are
in the roughly quarter of those under 20 that are 15-19. The only category
where the 0-14 death total is greater than the 15-19 total is accidental
deaths (96 vs. 91), and that is statistically equivalent.

Finally, using a more common definition of child (under 13) we get the
following numbers:

Total Population: ~52 million
Accidental Firearm Deaths: 31
Homicide by Firearm: 146
Legal Intervention/Firearms 0
Suicide by Firearms: 16
Unknown Intent by Firearms 5

Total by firearms 198

Using this definition of child, just less than 4 children a week are killed
by guns. The chance of an individual child being killed is slightly less
than 4 in a million per year.
