Yeah... I just finally figured out that the real problem is one I've seen before -- the machine didn't know its own hostname. That seems like it would be an easy thing to fix... but not on Solaris, it seems, as I've tried a few times before. I can fix it interactively, but the fix doesn't persist between reboots. Very frustrating. But now I really do see the mail coming and going. Sorry again; thanks for your patience.
