Historically there HAS been an office for a Chief Executive who could do anything he chose to do regardless of the law by claiming national emergency, and for which actions he could not be held accountable afterwards.

It is called "Dictator".

And historically, up until the time of Sulla, there were strict term limits on the dicttorship.

So - if Bush wants dictatorial powers for his remaining term in office, let him claim the title openly and honestly.

How's about THAT for framing?
