We feel bad too. Teri is going in for surgury tomorrow, and I'm scrambling to meet a deadline, so we have little extra time for volunteering. We have spare room at the house, but feel uncomfortable taking in a group of unvetted people. We have sent out word through our network that if they know a family, we'd have the room to house a few people for an indeterminate length of time, but I have to admit I'm selfish enough to not be willing to take someone that no one can vouch for.
