Actually, I would call the current crop of GOPpers as "Spend-n-borrow;" they may or may not have any intention of raising taxes, and at least some may not care, and Bush's tax reimbursement back at the beginning of his reign looks to me, now, as just pandering to the most common denominator... The real irony is that we had to look to a democrat in the form of Clinton for fiscal responsibility and lowering the national debt, while the Republicans are the big spenders. It used to be...quite the opposite.
