OK, I probably put a lot of things together in one sentence that didn't
make sense to you. For a Christian

1) Jesus is God incarnate "God from God, Light from Light, True God from
True God."

2) Jesus "laid down his life for his friends"

3) The incarnation and the willingness of Jesus to lay down his life for
his friends is critical for people who cannot keep the covenant on their
own.

I wasn't really trying to covert the Fool, just comparing the Fool's
description with someone who was willing to lay down his life for his
friends. I would guess you agree that someone like this is not best
described as a genocidal thug. :-)

The real question for Christians is the need for the suffering of
innocence. My best understanding comes from two things

1) "All powerful", like any human concept, is inherently limited.

2) Jesus was innocent and was willing to suffer on our behalf.

I could explain this at greater length, if you wish.

I realize that I don't have an explanation for why pain and suffering is
required for the existence of free will. But, the fact that I cannot
explain everything doesn't mean that there is no understanding possible.
:-)
