This is becoming a habit. Can we call it democratic truth avoidance?

Can we call it a quick-and-dirty post to a freaking mailing list, not a comprehensive report to a Congressional committee or a true bill of indictment presented to a grand jury?

If one side of a debate tries to be fair and balanced and the the other side does not then the middle ground ends up 3/4 over to the side that doesn't. That's why people take extreme positions. So the 'compromise' is nearer to what they really wanted in the first place :)
