I know this subject is old new to the list, but we finally got the 2 part
pilot of Battlestar Galactica in Korea last week. It aired on AFN-Korea on
Monday and Tuesday. I have to admit I was sceptical--the old series was
pretty bad. However, I was, for the most part, satisfied with the updated
version. This has potential.

One thing I really detested in the original was the spoiled brat, privileged
live that Starbuck and Apollo lived. The characters in this version are, so
far, a bit more likeable . . . and believable.

I see a bit of DS9 here. The human indistinguishable Cylons are analgous to
the Changelings. Should make for some interesting story lines that were not
available in the original (one of the problems of the original was the lack
of diverse stories).

Where did this first air, on cable, network? I thought there was a bit much
sex for standard network SF show, not that I disapproved.

Did this become a series and, if so, is it living up to its potential?
