No, Bob, it was not true.  

Mike Spahn was not a Coward.

The American service personnel and intelligence officers who worked on the
ground in the incredibly hostile environment of Afghanistan were not
cowards.   The Americans who guided those bombs with laser-guided sights
were not cowards.   The Americans who mounted horses alongside the rag-tag
sodliers of The Northern Alliance and rode into battle against Al Qaeda and
the Taliban were not cowards.  

JDG - And the Brits, Aussies, Danes, Norwegians, and the rest of our allies
who stood by our sides in Afghanistan weren't cowards either.
