I don't know what history you've read Jan, but from what I've read and in fact, from what I've observed, humans have an enormous capacity for blind hate especially for those who are in any significant way different from themselves. One only has to observe the genocide in the Sudan, the ethnic cleansing in Kosovo, the perpetual war in Israel, the 200,000 dead in East Timor, the killing fields of Cambodia, the El Salvador death squads to understand the capacity for hate.


I don't know where you got your ideas about the plight of European Jews, but they're just wrong.
