Since yesterday the Dutch monarchy has another succesor in line to the
throne. Our crown prins has become father to a tiny little (well
actually not that tiny, but still cute) prinses girl. Aaaaaaah. Original
about the whole event was the spontaneous and improvised way the crown
prins presented his daugther to the press and the public only mere hours
after she was born. Absolutely endearing pictures when he held his
daughter dressed up in a lacy baby gown (baptism style) while she was
perched on a luxurious pillow in his arms in that awkard fumbly way
typical of a first time parent.

Now we have to wait for the whole marketing machine to get going. I'm
already dreading going to the shops today. Everything probably will be
orange combined with cristmassy deco and music. Argh. Ah well. It can't
last forever. It will be over and we can go on with our lives eventually.
