Apparently your e-mail doesn't know how to format incoming text.
That does not follow. Electronic mail is not supposed to be HTML --
it is supposed to be `what you see is what was sent', WYSISWS. When
you browse a Web site, then you, the listener or viewer, specify how
it sounds or looks. That is how HTML was designed.
On the other hand, when you receive electronic mail, you are supposed
to get what the author sent. That is the convention and it is a good
one, since it means less inadvertent deceit and it means that people
with old or small machines can receive and read email.
