Didn't they already make this movie?  The one with Tom Cruise?  The
name of which escapes me at the moment but I'm sure you know what I
mean...

You mean Minority Report? I haven't seen it, but I believe that's about a precognitives predict when crime will happen, so that cops can go and stop them. Tom Cruise, a cop, is somehow then framed for a murder.


In Demolished Man, the story is about an incredibly wealthy man that plans to get away with murdering his rival, despite the fact that cops with ESP can read minds to find out who's guilty. I think this story is 10-20 years older than Philip K. Dick's Minority Report.

It's funny, whenever I think of Demolished Man, that rhyme pops in my head:
"tenser" said the tensor.  "Tenser" said the tensor.
