Hence the suggestion of a beehive *wig*.
So if it's a hard hat giving you headaches, one that fit better would
probably be the way to go.
Unless, of course, the true cause of the headaches is your worry about all the things that you have to wear the hard hat to protect your noggin from, in which case the solution might be to change jobs to one where you do not have to worry about being conked . . .
