out. However, like suicide threats, they must be taken seriously.
Oh puh-lease, spare me the psychology nonsense. I don't have "difficulties with rage control issues", I do not pose a threat to myself, and I only pose a threat to others when those others attack me, in which case my response is nothing but self-defense.

With all due respect, Jeroen, over the past several months I have wondered something similar to what Dan suggests. More than once I have asked others off-list if they saw the same things I did and, if so, how best to bring up the possibility. Since Dan has brought it up, I guess I will go ahead and ask if you have considered the possibility of a medical problem that has made it harder for you to control your anger in recent months? A brain tumor can cause a change in personality as it grows and puts pressure on certain portions of the brain, as can other, perhaps not so serious medical conditions. You might consider whether a checkup is in order. I say this not to criticize, but hopefully as a friend to help.
I have no reason to suspect the presence of a medical problem, be it a brain tumor or something else.

However, I do see a solution to the recurring list upheavals. Each and every time I get angry at someone on this list[*], it is because that person has deemed it necessary to launch a personal attack against me. So, if people would stop launching personal attacks against me when they disagree with me, then I would have no reason to fight back, and this list would be a much more fun place to be.

[*] Okay, I can think of one incident where I (and by their own admission, other people as well) got angry at a certain Brineller for a reason other than a personal attack. Those of you who were subscribed in June 2000 will probably remember that one...
