And my favorite sitcom of all time is Futurama. With both The Simpsons and Futurama, I've never seen an episode that didn't make me laugh out loud really hard at least once. Well, every episode since sometime in the second or third season of The Simpsons. Before that, there might be a few that only elicited light chuckles.
Other than those, I get my comedy from Buffy and Angel (between apocalypses ;-)

And to tie the Simpsons even more with the topic of our list, let's not forget the really "kewl" Simpsons episode that deal with SciFi!!
The writers of both Simpsons and Futurama have to be major Trek fans, based on the large numbers of Trek references you can count on each show. For instance, did anybody notice the "cameo" by Dr. McCoy in Futurama, a couple of weeks ago? Complete with TOS surgeon coat. I think Homer's astronaut training program, which included him fighting Barney dressed in Star Trek:TOS costumes (complete with ST's fighting cue music) was outrageous.
And that little brief snippet of Bart and Lisa watching "Star Trek: We're Very Old And Tired"..
Sulu: "Sir, Klingon Bird of Prey decloaking!!"
Kirk in the center seat, reading glasses and WoK era uniforms and all: "Oy, again with the Klingons.. Scotty! We need warp power now!!"..
Scotty, chewing on a donut: "I canna do it, Captain! I'm too fat to reach the controls!!". :)
Their Y2K episode is major favorite in my school's computer Lab. Somebody brought it in a couple of years ago, and we were all in stitches, literally. I think TV doesn't get any more intelligent than the Simpsons these days...
