Howdy folks. Be sure and check out the interview I did with bluegrass guitarist Bryan Sutton about his new album of duets with guitar greats such as Tony Rice, Doc Watson, and George Shuffler.  Bryan and I get into Shuffler's guitar playing quite a bit, and into what cross picking is and why it is important in the history of bluegrass music. It is all here - www.gritz.net.

Thanks

Hi Folks,
Just wanted to let you know that yesterday Ralph recorded "I Am The Man Thomas" with Randy Owen of the group Alabama. The song is for an upcoming 30 song CD on RCA Records, Alabama's first album for the label in five years. The session was held at Maggard Sound Studio in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. Also performing on the track was Steve Sparkman- banjo, Dewey Brown- fiddle, Nathan Stanley- mandolin and myself- lead and rhythm guitar. Other instruments and harmony vocals will be added to the track later. Ralph was in great voice and the track was done live in one take. Randy seemed very excited to have Ralph on the project and stated that he learned the song from his mother. No release date has been set as of yet.
