James:
Thanks for the information. Dr. Ralph is my number one fan and Alabama comes in second. Now I can get the best of both on their new CD. How soon before it is released?
I spent four days at the Hills of Home Festival this past Memorial Day. I felt like I died and went to heaven. I Love Bluegrass music and The Clinch Mountain Boys are the best. I enjoyed Nathan's impersonation of Elvis. He is a cracker jack. I hope that he continues in his grandfather's footsteps. I have heard some people say that he sounds like Ralph when he sings. I also think he sounds a little like Carter also. But he is still young and his voice will probably change. I just hope his love for the traditional bluegrass music doesn't.
Can you give me any information about how to get a list of CDs that is on the Stanleytone record label? I have New River Ranch, Brown Jamboree, and Ralph Live at Watermelon Park. I also have Nathan's CD and all of Two's CDs. I probably have about 50 of Ralph's CDs. I found a gold mine at a Flea Market a couple of weeks ago. An elderly lady past on and her son is selling all of her CDs. She was a big bluegrass fan. Anyway she had some CDs that were recorded at the Hills of Home Festival in 1996. Can you get anymore of those CDs anywhere? I enjoy them so much. She also had some CDs with Ralph, Keith Whitley, Ricky Skaggs, Curly Ray Cline, Charlie Sizemore, Junior Blankenship and a lot of the old ones.
Sorry to keep you so long. I just love talking about my bluegrass. We play it everyday about 5 to 6 hours a day and sometimes more.
I plan to visit Bean Station next weekend. I hope to see you all there. Tell Dr. Ralph and all the Clinch Mountain Boys hey.
Keep up the good music. Love you all.
A True Dr. Ralph & The Clinch Mountain Boys Fan always,
Margaret Hall

Subject: BG: Ralph records with Alabama
Hi Folks,
Just wanted to let you know that yesterday Ralph recorded "I Am The Man Thomas" with Randy Owen of the group Alabama. The song is for an upcoming 30 song CD on RCA Records, Alabama's first album for the label in five years. The session was held at Maggard Sound Studio in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. Also performing on the track was Steve Sparkman- banjo, Dewey Brown- fiddle, Nathan Stanley- mandolin and myself- lead and rhythm guitar. Other instruments and harmony vocals will be added to the track later. Ralph was in great voice and the track was done live in one take. Randy seemed very excited to have Ralph on the project and stated that he learned the song from his mother. No release date has been set as of yet.
