Ralph is doing fine and will probably be going back on the road in mid August. According to family members, he has lost some weight and is walking to build up his strength. The last time I spoke with him on the phone he sounded fine.

James A. Shelton
James;
    Rhonda's father also lost weight. And as for the walking, that is what he needs.
    It is important to have the Dr's keep check on fluid buildup around his lungs and/or heart he will have to be removed by a needle. This happened after both her brother and father had open heart surgery. Rhonda's father was 73 when he had his done and is still going today. He just turned 83 July 9th. He says he can still feel his bones poping or rubing against each other (Ribs). He is a Ralph Stanley Fan! (They are both tough)
What is his home address to send cards to. I have had several requests for this from his fans.
   I see where Jeanie Stanley has an album out with, and about, her father, Carter. I spoke to her a while back when Jimmy Martin just had got sick. She is very nice. I relayed her message to Jimmy and it really pleased Jimmy that Carter's little girl would think of him.
   I must get the CD. :)

Take Care James and Thanks for keeping us posted.
