Does anyone out there have first hand stories (well, second or third hand
would be fine, for that matter) about Carter and Ralph in the early days?
How about stories of other bluegrass greats, like Monroe, Flatt and
Scruggs, Mac Wiseman, and others? Was anyone living in the Coeburn, Va.,
area in those days who might tell us what life was like there? I would love
to hear anything at all about the early days of the great BG musicians, and
I expect there are many on this list who share my interest.

I have only been a bluegrass enthusiast for the last twelve or fifteen
years, which probably makes me a novice. Any musicians out there who would
be willing to talk about their work? Would they share their own bluegrass
stories with us? That's the sort of thing I expected to hear when I signed
on to the bulletin board and it's the kind of thing that would make this
bulletin board something truly special.

Thanks.

Kathleen
