Hi, best advice I can give is, read the articles on the website, there’s lots of stuff. Some of it is fairly old, but still applies even today. Also, there’s walkthroughs for the early quests on there too.
In the game, use the ‘help’ system, it’s huge and very in-depth and will answer the vast majority of queries you have. It’s not perfect and some stuff will need more of an explanation, so use the ‘newbie’ channel. Lots of experienced players to answer questions for well, new players. Explore everything, read descriptions of places you visit, talk to creatures and mobs you come across. Don’t use all the practices you gain from levelling on skills and spells at your low level, a lot of them you don’t need yet and you need practices to train your stats e.g. intelligence, wisdom, constitution etc. And don’t be afraid of experimenting and doing the wrong thing. … we’ve all done it in the past. I’ve been playing for 8 years now, I’m a high level player, but I’m still learning! 😊 kevin email: lord.l...@sky.com <mailto:lord.l...@sky.com> twitter: lordl1974 From: blind-gamers@groups.io <blind-gamers@groups.io> On Behalf Of Melanie van Egmond via groups.io Sent: 13 November 2024 13:45 To: blind-gamers@groups.io Subject: Re: [blind-gamers] Alter Aeon November 2024 Update Hello developer or other players of Alter Aeon, I started playing this game last weekend. I begin to understand the game a little bit, but are there good documents/tutorials to help newbies the first levels? Maybe it helps not that English is not my best language, so sometimes I simply don't know the right word to use as a command. All information for newbies is welcome. Which macro's do I have to create or other tricks?? We are pleased to announce our next event: the Fall Festival, which will start on Wednesday, November 27th and will end 9AM server time on Sunday, December 1st. It is an event appropriate for players of all levels, both new and old alike. Among the various activities will be a carnival, a corn maze, a turkey shoot and special turkey-themed characters to play as in a PK arena. Last month we released two areas: * The Infernal Morass, a level 45 group 15 area. * The Rubiac Plain, a level 45 autogroup area. Both areas can be accessed through a portal in the City of Fonts on the plane of Purnima. Here are some highlights of last month’s updates: * A new object type: INSTRUMENT. * You can search brew recipes for ones that you submitted by using the “mine” keyword. * Attacks that knock down opponents are more likely to cause crippling. * A new 'jump' command has been added. This can be used in conjunction with certain attacks such as kick and stomp to do additional damage. * Six new music tracks added. In November, we will release a level 40 extraplanar area called Usha’s Dream. This will be accessed via Caer Bre’en. Work continues on the level 40 thief skill ‘umbral thrall’. The ‘flick’ skill is scheduled to be integrated with it next. Several more thief skills will have to be modified before adding it to the game.
