Hi, I do have a couple hints that may help.
First off be sure to read the website thoroughly. Many things are there to get you started. Secondly utilize the help files. The devs have put a lot of time into the help files and can usually answer your questions before a person can on one of the channels. Just type help and your query. Utilize the newbie channel. The newbie channel is there for just that, newbies. To post a message just type newbie and your message. Lots of helpful people are on that channel. Good luck and welcome to alter.
