Well, if I remember correctly, Zork was for the original Z machine,
and that's a game that's held up just as well as any 80s video game;
millions still play it.

Wait, I'm confused. Based on the numbers, Z8 sounds newer than Z5. Why
would it be harder to find software that's compatible with Z8 games
than it is to find software compatible with Z5 games?

frotz and jzip available to us. The mac platform might have a problem
unless these packages are on darwin or fink or in the apple store, but

Gates of survival has cooking as an activity, but the access on

is a little iffy.
Mud wise, many of the crafting and survival muds such as Clok and
lament
have cooking, and I believe alteraeon is just introducing it too.
Flexible survival also has cooking recipes as? parts of the
general
crafting.
i know these aren't exactly what your looking for but these are
thus
far
the best examples of? games with cooking in that I can think of.
