Dear Francis,
I save each and everyone of my email messages, or most of them, I have to save all those I receive regarding the Chess For the Blind organization I am President of, and recently Temporary Tournament Director. I have thousands and Thousands of email messages saved on my hard drive, some of a sentimental nature, some of a Tutorial nature, going back as far as perhaps 10 years, that I copied from my old machine onto my Terabyte Drive.

I use Outlook Express, but I think when I used Outlook, it worked the same.

While highlighting a message you wish to save,
Go to your menus, to the "File" Option, arrow down to "Save As" and hit enter, tab once or twice through the dialog box, and finally hit on "Save"!

I believe the email message by default is save in your "My Documents" Folder!

Then simply select them from your "My Documents" and Cut and paste the messages in a folder wherever you want to save them.
As I said I keep folders separating the email messages on my T-Drive!

It has worked for me for more than a Decade!

With Best Regards,
Alan

There is something I need to ask you. On a number of occasions when my system has to be repaired, I often lose my e-mails and it takes a while to get everything setup again.

I believe that there is a way that e-mails can be stored in some other part of the computer or elsewhere. Do you know anything about exporting e-mails to some other place and retrieve them later? If I could do that, I can keep my hair almost black, although there are several patches of grey which seem to thrive better than the rest. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Ferrin" <[email protected]>
